Session Times (approximate)

Morning Sessions: 10am – 12pm

Afternoon Sessions: 1pm – 3pm

 

Ratios

We can cater for a maximum of 30 pupils per class.  Suggested ratios are:

Nursery/Under 5’s - 1 adult:4 children

Over 5’s – 1 adult:10 children

The exact adult:pupil ratios will depend on the class teachers own risk assessment.

 

Lunch

Inside: The cafe is exclusively available  to school groups having packed lunches from  Autumn half-term break until the end of Spring term .  At other times the cafe is open to the public.     

Outside: There are benches and picnic tables in several areas including outside the cafe and in the playground.  

Other Facilities

A small playground, which schools can use at lunchtime.

Hot drinks machine and shop in the main entrance hall.

Male and female public toilets next to the cafe.

Cannon Hill Park is behind the Nature Centre if space is required for games.

The Nature Centre is accessible for people with disabilities.

Pre-visits

If you have never been to the Nature Centre before, it is advisable to make a pre-visit.

Phone the teacher to arrange.

Or come to the Nature Centre at any time and talk to the staff/look around on your own.
