On arrival

Pease meet the Nature Centre teacher in the main entrance hall at the start of your session.  If the main entrance door is closed when you arrive for your session please ring the doorbell.

Arrangements for lunch

Outside: There are benches and picnic tables in several areas including outside the cafe, opposite the otters, in the woodland and in the playground.  There are also several grassy areas.

From Autumn half-term until the Easter holidays:  At this time schools have exclusive use of the cafe building for lunch, although refreshments will not be on sale.  There is a hot drinks machine in the main entrance hall.  (The Nature Centre is closed to the public during weekdays at this time)

From Easter until Autumn half-term: The Nature Centre is open to the public and the cafe can become very busy.   If the weather is wet or cold it is often possible to eat in the cafe or  we will endeavour to find another indoor space.  (The cafe is an independent franchise and not run by the Nature Centre, so out of courtesy please ask cafe staff for permission to eat inside and show consideration to other users)

Lunch bags can be left in the main entrance hall.

Toilets/hand washing

Male and female public toilets are next to the cafe.  There are also low sinks outdoors in the playground.

Other Facilities

A small playground designed for younger children.

Hot drinks machine and shop in the main entrance hall.

Cannon Hill Park is behind the Nature Centre if space is required for games.
