There are native British species and animals from around the world.  They come from a variety of habitats including rainforest and  desert.  Many of the animals are endangered and are part of national /international breeding programmes.   Rodents, invertebrates, reptiles, snakes and amphibians are all housed indoors.  Outdoor animals include lemurs, meerkats, otters, goeldi’s monkeys, cranes, owls, red squirrel, porcupines, lynx, ocelot, beavers, wallabies, sheep and goats.

Animals

There are displaysof stuffed animals, skulls, and animal materials available for handling. There are also live animals.  All are used to reinforce learning.

Animals are housed both indoors and outdoors.  

The shop sellsa wide range of low priced and informative products for children and teachers.  There are displays with an environmental awareness theme.
