Sessions
Half-day and whole day teaching sessions are offered throughout the year.
Times (approxiamte)
Morning Sessions: 10am – 12pm
Afternoon Sessions: 1pm – 3pm or 12.30 – 2.30pm
(exact timings are negotiable.
Nursery classes can also book a session to share so that each class has 40-50 minute sessions.
Ratios
We can cater for a maximum of 30 pupils per class.
Nursery/Under 5’s – 1 adult:4 children.
Over 5’s – 1 adult:15 children (minimum – strongly suggest 1:10 due to the nature of the outdoor activities).
Actual ratios will depend on the Visit Leaders own risk assessment.

Groups having a 2 hour teaching session can stay on site all day for no additional cost.

Booking
Transport
Schools will need to book and pay for their own transport. There is a large car park. In the Winter season this will be opened on request. Many bus routes go past and near the nature centre.
