COBOC (City of Birmingham Orienteering Club)

aims to promote and support orienteering in Birmingham in particular with young people, schools, families and in areas and groups not catered for by the larger“ mainstream” clubs.  COBOC works closely with the Birmingham City Council, Directorate of Children, Young People and Families and the Outdoor Learning Service.

COBOC provides orienteering support and events, especially for schools, fun events, and helps with the Birmingham Schools Orienteering Championships organises more major events and BOF Coaching Courses.  Membership also provides coaching, a club to continue active participation or competition in the sport, friendship, support to individuals, organisations and schools.  The club uses city parks, small areas of urban woodland to allow accessibility for the people of Birmingham and allow newcomers to participate.
