Camping/Self-Catering Planning and Booking

Residential Centres

Birmingham City Council runs four residential centres within the UK.  These four centres offer varied courses for a range of age groups.  There are also several camping opportunities at various sites, some even offer catered courses.

All of the centres pride themselves on their excellent opportunities, friendly staff and excellent catering.

Bell Heath

A ranch style building built in 1929 and located in a beautiful green belt position to the south west of Birmingham.  It has excellent facilities on site for a range of environmental and outdoor education activities.  It is also just a walk away form the Waseley and Clent Hills.

  

Bockleton

A Victorian mansion set in a wonderfully rural area to the south of Tenbury Wells.  The building is outstanding and the grounds full of treasures, as well as being very close to number of historical towns.  The centre offers a range of environmental and outdoor adventure activities.

Ogwen Cottage

Situated in the very heart of the mountains of Snowdonia, one of Britain's most beautiful National Parks.  Lofty peaks, lakes and rivers abound; a superb environment for learning something about yourself, working with others on exciting adventurous activities.

  

Stansfeld

On the outskirts of the City of Oxford.  It offers an excellent base for primary work up to A level studies on  a variety of topics whilst maintaining direct links to the Every Child Matters agenda.  The site has attractive woodlands, ponds and wildlife for children to discover and explore.
